Modern Farmhouse in Upper Beaconsfield

Nestled within the natural landscape of Upper Beaconsfield, this bespoke family home has been thoughtfully designed to balance contemporary family living with the warmth and character of a country retreat. Strong architectural forms, clean vertical cladding and contrasting dark window frames create a refined modern farmhouse aesthetic, while expansive glazing captures natural light and frames the surrounding bushland.

This considered family home consists of generous open-plan living spaces which are centred around a beautifully detailed kitchen featuring an oversized island, integrated appliances, premium stone surfaces and custom shaker-profile cabinetry. A fully appointed butler's pantry provides extensive storage and preparation space, ensuring the main kitchen remains elegant and uncluttered for everyday family life and entertaining.

Natural materials and carefully selected finishes create a calm, timeless interior palette. Warm timber flooring, soft neutral tones and bespoke joinery are complemented by brushed brass tapware, statement lighting and textured stone surfaces, delivering understated luxury throughout the home.

The bathrooms continue this sophisticated design language, with full-height tiling, oversized skylights, custom floating vanities and frameless glass showers creating bright, light-filled spaces that evoke the feel of a private day spa. Circular mirrors, brushed brass fixtures and sculptural basins provide refined focal points, while natural light enhances the sense of openness and tranquillity.

Designed with modern family living in mind, the home also incorporates highly functional utility spaces, including a custom laundry with abundant storage, integrated appliances and a practical workspace. A dedicated dog wash station reflects the owners' lifestyle, combining thoughtful design with everyday convenience.

The living spaces are anchored by a striking feature fireplace constructed from handcrafted natural stone, introducing warmth, texture and a timeless focal point that connects the home's contemporary architecture with its rural surroundings.

Every element of our client’s primary home has been carefully considered to create a home that is as practical as it is beautiful. From bespoke cabinetry and premium finishes to carefully integrated natural light and lifestyle-focused spaces, this Upper Beaconsfield project exemplifies boutique craftsmanship, thoughtful design and a commitment to creating homes that are uniquely tailored to the way their owners live.
