Contemporary Living with Individual Character

Our St Kilda project celebrates sophisticated inner-city living through a collection of highly individual spaces, united by meticulous detailing, refined material selections and a strong architectural language. Generous proportions and open-plan layouts create an immediate sense of space, while abundant glazing, soaring ceilings and carefully positioned skylights draw natural light deep into the interiors.

The striking kitchen centrepiece, combining substantial stone island bench with full-height custom joinery, integrated appliances and dedicated work zones. From dramatic charcoal cabinetry and warm metallic finishes to more traditional profiled joinery, each space demonstrates how considered material and colour selections can create a distinct personality within a cohesive architectural framework. Herringbone and wide-board timber flooring introduce warmth and craftsmanship, balancing the crisp contemporary detailing.

The living and dining spaces are designed for both everyday comfort and entertaining, with statement lighting, feature fireplaces and expansive windows adding drama and character. High ceilings enhance the scale of the interiors, while details such as coffered ceilings, sheer floor-to-ceiling curtains and carefully integrated lighting elevate otherwise functional elements into architectural features.

The bathrooms continue this approach with a distinctly luxurious edge. Freestanding sculptural baths, frameless glazing, oversized stone and porcelain surfaces, black tapware and integrated niches create calm, resort-like spaces. Most striking is the dramatic double-height bathroom, where timber acoustic-style ceiling battens, clerestory glazing and Velux skylights turn the volume above into an architectural feature in its own right.

Throughout, the project demonstrates the value of truly custom building: spaces shaped around their owners rather than a predetermined formula. From bespoke cabinetry and feature lighting to intricate flooring, stonework and unexpected architectural volumes, the result is a St Kilda residence defined by individuality, craftsmanship and considered contemporary luxury.
